Roles and Responsibilities
- Supervision: Oversee and coordinate the activities of retail staff, including cashiers, stock clerks, and other team members.
- Customer Service: Ensure a high level of customer satisfaction by addressing complaints, resolving issues, and providing helpful assistance.
- Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, order products as needed, and manage stock to prevent shortages or overstock situations.
- Sales and Marketing: Assist in the planning and execution of promotional activities to boost sales and attract customers.
- Staff Training: Train new employees and provide ongoing support and guidance to existing staff to ensure a well-functioning team.
- Reporting: Prepare reports on sales volumes, merchandising, and personnel matters for upper management.
Education and Qualifications
- Experience: Previous experience in a retail environment, particularly in a supervisory role, is typically required.
- Skills: Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills are essential. Ability to work well under pressure and multitask effectively.
- Education: A high school diploma or equivalent is generally required. Additional education in business, retail management, or a related field is a plus.
