Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Staff Management: Recruit, train, and supervise restaurant staff. Schedule shifts and manage employee performance.
  • Operations: Oversee daily restaurant operations, including opening and closing procedures, inventory management, and maintenance.
  • Customer Service: Ensure high standards of customer service, address any client concerns or complaints, and enhance the dining experience.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, including sales, expenses, and profitability. Prepare and manage budgets and financial reports.
  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations. Implement and enforce company policies and procedures.
  • Marketing: Assist in developing and implementing promotional strategies to attract and retain customers.
  • Coordination: Work closely with kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation. Maintain effective communication between front-of-house and back-of-house teams.
  • Problem-Solving: Address any operational issues promptly and efficiently, ensuring minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
  • Customer Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with customers, encouraging feedback and fostering a welcoming environment.

Education and Qualification:

  • Education: High school diploma or equivalent required. Post-secondary education in hospitality or business management is an asset.
  • Experience: Previous experience in restaurant management or a similar supervisory role is preferred.
  • Skills: Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, excellent organizational and multitasking abilities, and proficiency in restaurant management software.
  • Attributes: Ability to work under pressure, make decisions quickly, and maintain a positive attitude in a fast-paced environment.
