Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
  • Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all work meets company and regulatory standards.
  • Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure proper execution of construction tasks.
  • Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed on the job site.
  • Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to address any issues or changes in project plans.
  • Inspect work progress and quality, ensuring that all construction adheres to building codes and specifications.
  • Prepare and submit reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any issues encountered.
  • Manage the ordering and delivery of construction materials, ensuring that all supplies are available when needed.
  • Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise, ensuring smooth project progression.
  • Train and mentor junior staff and new workers, promoting best practices in construction.

Education and Qualification:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
  • Several years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
  • In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
  • Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
