Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Plan and implement Montessori-based educational activities and lessons that promote the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social development of children.
  • Create a safe, caring, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages curiosity, exploration, and a love for learning.
  • Observe and assess each child’s development, adapting teaching methods to meet individual needs and learning styles.
  • Communicate regularly with parents and guardians about their child’s progress, behavior, and any concerns.
  • Encourage positive behavior and social interactions among children, teaching them to respect themselves, others, and their environment.
  • Maintain classroom materials, ensuring they are clean, organized, and accessible to children.
  • Collaborate with other educators and staff to plan and coordinate activities and events.
  • Adhere to health and safety regulations and ensure the well-being of all children in the classroom.

Education and Qualification:

  • Diploma or degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or a related field.
  • Certification as an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) by a recognized authority.
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational setting is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles and Montessori educational methods.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive relationships with children, parents, and colleagues.
  • Patience, creativity, and a genuine passion for working with children.
  • First Aid and CPR certification is an asset.
