Roles and Responsibilities:
- Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, pots, and pans using industrial dishwashing equipment.
- Ensure that all kitchen equipment and workstations are cleaned and sanitized regularly.
- Organize and store clean dishes, utensils, and kitchen tools in designated areas.
- Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
- Dispose of garbage, recycling, and compost according to the restaurant’s waste management procedures.
- Maintain a clean and organized dishwashing area, including sweeping and mopping floors.
- Monitor the cleanliness of the kitchen and dining areas, addressing any issues promptly.
- Follow all safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the kitchen manager.
- Assist with other duties as assigned by the kitchen or restaurant management.
Education and Qualification:
- No formal education is required; however, a high school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
- Previous experience in a similar role is preferred but not mandatory.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to cleanliness.
- Good physical stamina, as the role requires standing for long periods and handling heavy items.
- Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate effectively with kitchen staff.
