Roles and Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and standards set by the restaurant.
- Ensure the presentation of dishes meets quality and aesthetic standards.
- Maintain a clean and organized kitchen workspace, adhering to health and safety regulations.
- Manage inventory and assist with ordering ingredients as needed.
- Monitor food quality and make adjustments to recipes or cooking techniques as required.
- Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and efficient service.
- Follow proper food handling and sanitation procedures to prevent contamination.
- Assist with menu planning and development based on seasonal ingredients and customer preferences.
- Handle food storage and ensure that all ingredients are stored properly.
Education and Qualification
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred; formal culinary training or certification is a plus.
- Previous experience as a cook or in a similar kitchen role is required.
- Knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen equipment.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
