Roles and Responsibilities

• Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of Indian dishes, including curries, tandoori items, and appetizers, according to the restaurant’s menu and recipes.
• Menu Development: Assist in developing and improving menu items by suggesting new recipes or adjusting existing ones to enhance flavor and presentation.
• Quality Control: Ensure that all dishes are prepared and presented to the highest standards, maintaining consistency in taste and appearance.
• Inventory Management: Monitor food supplies and ingredients, and order stock as needed to ensure kitchen operations run smoothly without interruptions.
• Kitchen Hygiene: Maintain cleanliness and organization in the kitchen area, adhering to food safety and sanitation guidelines at all times.
• Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff, including assistants and dishwashers, to ensure efficient operation and timely food service.

Education and Qualifications

• Experience: Previous experience as a cook, particularly in Indian cuisine, is highly desirable.
• Skills: Strong culinary skills with a deep understanding of Indian spices, ingredients, and cooking techniques. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple orders simultaneously.
• Education: A formal culinary education is beneficial but not required. Practical experience and a passion for cooking are highly valued.
