Roles and Responsibilities

  • Prepare and bake a variety of bread, pastries, and other baked goods according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure the quality and consistency of products by monitoring ingredients, dough consistency, and baking times.
  • Decorate pastries and desserts to enhance their appearance and appeal.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace, ensuring that all equipment is cleaned and stored properly after use.
  • Monitor inventory levels and order supplies as needed, ensuring that the bakery is stocked with necessary ingredients.
  • Collaborate with the team to develop new recipes and menu items.
  • Adhere to all food safety and sanitation guidelines to ensure the safety of products.

Education and Qualification

  • A diploma or certification in baking, pastry arts, or a related field is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a baker or pâtissier is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of baking techniques, ingredients, and food safety practices.
  • Creativity and attention to detail, especially in the decoration and presentation of baked goods.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
