Roles and Responsibilities:
- Oversee and coordinate construction activities on-site, ensuring that projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Supervise construction workers and subcontractors, ensuring that all work meets company and regulatory standards.
- Review and interpret blueprints, plans, and specifications to ensure proper execution of construction tasks.
- Ensure that all safety protocols and regulations are strictly followed on the job site.
- Coordinate with project managers, architects, and engineers to address any issues or changes in project plans.
- Inspect work progress and quality, ensuring that all construction adheres to building codes and specifications.
- Prepare and submit reports on project status, including timelines, budgets, and any issues encountered.
- Manage the ordering and delivery of construction materials, ensuring that all supplies are available when needed.
- Resolve any on-site conflicts or issues that may arise, ensuring smooth project progression.
- Train and mentor junior staff and new workers, promoting best practices in construction.
Education and Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional qualifications in construction management or a related field are preferred.
- Several years of experience in a supervisory role within the construction industry.
- In-depth knowledge of construction processes, materials, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, plans, and technical drawings.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to make quick, informed decisions.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards.
