Roles and Responsibilities:

• Wash and sanitize dishes, glassware, flatware, pots, and pans using a dishwasher or by hand as required.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the dishwashing area, including cleaning dish racks, counters, and floors.
• Ensure that all kitchen equipment, including ovens, stoves, and refrigerators, are clean and well-maintained.
• Remove trash and recycling from the kitchen and dispose of it in designated areas.
• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks as needed.
• Follow health and safety guidelines to prevent contamination and ensure a safe working environment.
• Monitor inventory of cleaning supplies and report any shortages to the kitchen supervisor.
• Support other kitchen staff during busy periods to ensure smooth operations.

Education and Qualification:

• No formal education required; high school diploma or equivalent is an asset.
• Previous experience in a kitchen or dishwashing role is preferred but not required.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
• Good physical stamina, with the ability to stand for long periods and lift heavy items.
• Ability to work well in a team and take direction from supervisors.
