Roles and Responsibilities:
- Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and wiring in residential, commercial, and industrial buildings.
- Interpret blueprints, technical diagrams, and specifications to determine the layout of electrical systems.
- Install electrical apparatus, fixtures, and equipment for alarm and other systems.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and ensure compliance with codes.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot malfunctioning systems, apparatus, and components using testing tools to locate the cause of a breakdown and fix the issue.
- Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components.
- Test electrical systems and continuity of circuits using devices such as ohmmeters, voltmeters, and oscilloscopes.
- Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations during installations and repairs.
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
Education and Qualification:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Certification as an electrician or completion of an apprenticeship program.
- Proven experience in a similar role.
- Strong understanding of electrical systems, tools, and safety standards.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical drawings.
- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.
- Physical stamina and the ability to work in various conditions.
