Roles and Responsibilities
- Patron Safety: Monitor and protect patrons, staff, and property by patrolling the premises and keeping an eye on any suspicious activities.
- Access Control: Manage entry to the bar, check IDs to verify the legal drinking age, and prevent unauthorized access.
- Conflict Resolution: Address and de-escalate conflicts or disturbances in a calm and professional manner, involving law enforcement if necessary.
- Incident Reporting: Document any incidents or security breaches, providing detailed reports to management.
- Emergency Response: Act quickly and effectively in emergency situations, such as fire or medical emergencies, following established protocols.
- Crowd Control: Ensure that the bar’s capacity limits are adhered to, and manage crowd flow during busy periods.
- Compliance: Ensure the bar is in compliance with all safety regulations and legal requirements.
Education and Qualification
- Minimum Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience: Previous experience as a security guard or in a related role is preferred.
- Certification: A valid security guard license is required. First aid/CPR certification is an asset.
- Skills: Strong observation skills, ability to remain calm under pressure, excellent communication skills, and physical fitness for patrolling and managing conflicts.
